Ball Busters is a spectacle-fighter roguelike where you juggle a single ball to build absurd, screen-melting combo machines. Stack upgrades, unleash Heat Moves, and turn a simple orb into a ruthless engine of chaos. Every run is a high-skill showcase of precision juggling, rapid repositioning, and strategic mutation.

Core loop

Start with a ball, chain together hits, and pepper in upgrades to extend combos. Heat Moves unleash cinematic effects that amplify your scores and clear space. As you stack upgrades and encounter ball modifiers, your run evolves into a unique chaos machine with each playthrough.

Characters

Six playable characters, each bringing their own mechanics that radically change how you juggle, move, and build combos. Examples include:

• The Multi-Billionaire, head of Makura Industries, whose power-crushing style uses military-grade suitcases and mystical balls, shaped by her therapist’s guidance.
• Maki’s stress-locked maid, once a water goddess, bound to serve after a fateful bet—adding a different set of play dynamics and constraints.
• Hana, born into the Kong martial arts clan and trained in chi manipulation, who left the clan to pursue stunt-driven mastery for social clout.
• Three additional characters with their own signature mechanics round out the roster for varied run strategies.

Arenas and hazards

Battle across six distinct arenas packed with dynamic hazards designed to ruin your run: speeding cars, prowling jaguars, and judgmental socialites, among others. Every arena is a test of space management and timing, all aiming to force you to drop the ball.

Upgrades, Heat Moves, and ball mutations

Build your kit from 50+ upgrades and Heat Moves that combine for stacking synergies. Unlock 10+ ball modifiers that mutate runs, demanding adaptive strategies mid-run. Mutations include reactive shields, freezing icicles, gravity and speed shifts, and other chaos-inducing effects that reshape your build on the fly.
