Offshore Sailor is a sailing simulation game currently in development that brings offshore racing and ocean exploration into your home. Every voyage unfolds on a 1/60 scale Earth, with its own weather system that is unique for each session, creating a fresh environment and a distinctive challenge every time you sail.

The core goal is simple: sail fast, sail smart. You’ll configure your sails, plan and adjust your route, and use the wind to your advantage to cross the finish line ahead of rivals. The experience emphasizes strategy and seamanship, while remaining accessible and enjoyable for players of all skill levels. It is a tribute to the passion of sailing, designed for sailors who want to relive the adventure and for newcomers eager to discover why this sport inspires so many people.

Offshore Sailor is not meant to replace real sailing. It isn’t a hyper-realistic simulator, but an authentic yet simplified recreation crafted for enjoyment. Some behaviors are tuned for fun and accessibility rather than strict realism. The world is scaled to 1/60 of real Earth, so long ocean crossings stay immersive without dragging on for weeks. You’ll still feel the vastness of the sea, condensed to fit your schedule and keep things playable in meaningful sessions.

The project is led by Marc-André Ploux, a passionate solo developer and sailor. Every aspect—from design to 3D models—is handcrafted with care. As the project grows, new collaborators will join to add depth and realism to the experience. Credits also go to the tools that support development: Ultra Dynamic Sky, Waterline PRO, and DWP (Dynamic Water Physics). A dedicated group of testers and supporters—Arthur, Thibault, Jean-Baptiste, and Maxime—have provided invaluable feedback and enthusiasm.
