Pigmarines description
Pigmarines — Co-op Social Deception on the Ocean
Pigmarines places 2–10 players into a tense shipboard scenario where hidden traitors secretly sabotage the vessel while posing as passengers. The crew must deduce who is traitor, using observation, discussion, and strategic tools before the ship sinks. It’s a tense, chaotic, and often hilarious battle of trust and betrayal.
Key Gameplay
- Roles and disguise: Traitors blend with ordinary passengers, keeping a low profile while plotting behind the scenes. The crew searches for subtle tells, timing quirks, and mismatched actions that don’t fit the routine. As rounds progress, suspicions rise and loyalties blur.
- Sabotage and exposure: Traitors must complete sabotage tasks without tipping off others. Each sabotage move ramps up chaos and makes concealment harder, pushing the match toward a dramatic collapse where every decision counts.
- Appearance and risk: Appearance is identity, and as the number of passengers dwindles, the risk of exposure increases. Traitors can slip away more easily, but the crew must stay vigilant and avoid blinking at the wrong moment.
- Actions with consequences: Every choice shapes the outcome. Quietly finishing objectives can win on stealth, while bold chaos at a critical moment can force a decisive reveal or ruin trust for good.
- Passenger Audit Terminal: The Terminal can reveal traitors and is accessible from many locations. If the crew hacks it, traitors are exposed for a short window—use this power wisely or risk losing control of the narrative.
- Social dynamics: Work with your team to hunt traitors, or turn on them for chaotic fun. The line between ally and foe shifts with every round, making every vote, accusation, and whisper crucial.
Feel and Atmosphere
The experience thrives on chaotic, humorous moments—sabotage, betrayal, and surprising stunts as the ship sinks. With fewer players, tension rises and truth becomes harder to hide, inviting bold moves and clever misdirection.
