The SKATR artifact is a legendary pair of inline skates gifted to Earth by ancient aliens. As the current possessor, your journey is to prove yourself and rise to the title of SKATR MASTR. Step into a vibrant hub world and chase speed, skill, and clever strategy across a curated set of challenges that test reflexes, timing, and precision.

Hub world, progression, and goals

Explore a centralized hub to locate 10 levels spread across 4 distinct zones, plus a dedicated challenge room and a vending machine. More levels are planned for the future, expanding the routes you can take and the tricks you can perform. Each run is a test of speed and consistency, with the aim to maintain maximum velocity while racking up points.

Gameplay and tricks

Push your limits by maintaining top speed to boost your score. Perform advanced tricks using motion inputs to earn extra points and showcase your control. Some challenges require you to master the SKATR alien code and demonstrate moves like moonwalks and flipz, adding a playful puzzle layer to the high-speed action.

Currency, upgrades, and customization

Earn coins by conquering levels and spend them at the vending machine. Use coins to power up your skates with modules that grant extra powers and shi, enhancing performance in the races and challenges. You can also unlock and mix outfits in the equipment menu, customizing your look to suit your style while you carve through each zone.

Development note

SKATR is created by a solo developer with all assets built from scratch, except for the music contributed by a friend's collaboration. The game invites players to test speed, timing, and improvisation in a playful alien code world.
