Color Theory — Two Modes of Play

Color Theory is a fully ray-traced arcade experience that blends sharp reflexes with clever observation. It offers two distinct modes that share a single thematic thread and a focus on mirrors, reflections, and perception.

Mode 1: Arena Shooter

In the arena shooter, you must survive by destroying enemies only through their reflections. Enemies cannot be harmed by direct shots, so your success hinges on finding the correct mirror and firing so that your projectile hits the enemy’s reflected image. For added tension, contact with enemy spheres ends the run. The challenge combines precise aim, spatial awareness, and quick decision making as you navigate the reflective environment and eliminate threats by targeting the right mirror.

Mode 2: Marble Puzzle

The second mode is a puzzle-focused item hunt. Follow the instructions to either locate identical marbles or identify impostors among a collection. Each correct choice progresses you, while wrong guesses incur a time penalty that adds pressure and reinforces careful thinking. The puzzle emphasizes pattern recognition, deduction, and careful scrutiny under time constraints.

Controls & Interaction

The game embraces a classic 1FPS control feel. Use the following inputs to navigate and act:

• Right-click to zoom
• Shift to run
• Space to jump
• Esc to pause

In addition, you can rotate the board to inspect layouts and alignments. Use the arrow keys to spin the board, or press space to pause rotation when you need a moment to plan your next move.
