WellBound is a top-down survival roguelike that drops you into a dark, hostile world after you fall down a well. Drawing on the tension of classic survival games and the replayability of roguelikes, it challenges you to endure, craft, and escape back to the surface.

Pacing, challenge, and progression

The game is designed to grow harder up to a point, and it will not increase in difficulty until you complete the next ritual. This structure gives you space to explore, stockpile resources, and plan your approach before facing tougher threats. You can roam freely to collect a bounty of resources before deciding to push forward.

Experience and development

WellBound currently offers a short, roughly 30-minute experience—ideal for quick runs or trying out new strategies. It has been in development for several months and represents the creator’s first major project as a game developer. The game is continuously expanding, with new content and refinements added over time to deepen the survival and ritual systems.
