무명기록부 (Mumyeonggjrokbu)

In a world where dokkaebi and humans once fought monsters together, the night of the full moon reshapes fate. The gods call, the dokkaebi depart, and their power is sealed within masks you carry. These masks become both a covenant with the spirit realm and the legitimate instrument to govern the supernatural. 무명기록부 reimagines Korean folktales, dokkaebi lore, and ghost stories through a modern isolation narrative, weaving past and present into a multilayered urban fantasy you uncover through investigation and meticulous documentation.

You step into a hidden world where balance hangs in the balance between humans and the unseen. Every recorded encounter, every sealed entity, and every decision to log or release shapes the harmony or ruin of life as you know it. The core of the game is investigative storytelling: explore clues, interrogate echoes of myth, and assemble the 무명기록부—the records that determine who may govern the strange and who must fear it.

The world uses traditional Korean painted masks as its heralds and tools. Each division wields its own role, and the masks themselves are central artifacts—keys, symbols, and bonds between mortal and supernatural. Anomalies are classified and contained by a tiered system known as containment levels:

• Mang
• Hyeon
• Choseung
• Geumeum
• Sak

A companion framework, the Tal, guides how mysteries are categorized, contained, and managed according to risk. The interplay of these classifications with mask power drives the tension between human stewardship and supernatural autonomy. As you navigate this isolated world—where every investigation uncovers whispers from the past and consequences for the present—you must decide what to seal, what to reveal, and how to preserve the fragile boundary that keeps ordinary life from dissolving into myth.

무명기록부 invites players who crave a narrative-driven blend of folklore and contemporary mystery, where documentation is not just record-keeping but a form of power.
