Shurigatto description

Shurigatto — description

In Felinia, a realm kept in balance by sacred gems, the return of Muris—the ancient mouse sorcerer—throws everything off. You play as Shurigatto, a ninja cat tethered to a magic shuriken, sprinting through corrupted worlds to reclaim the gems and restore some sense of order—preferably without exploding.

Shurigatto is a fast, precise top‑down action game built around momentum, timing, and clean execution. You swing, rotate, and dash through compact levels designed for relentless repetition and constant improvement. Every move matters, and every mistake is yours to own.

Rotation isn’t just movement—it's how you survive. Rotate clockwise to turn Blue and rotate counter‑clockwise to turn Orange. Your current color changes how you interact with enemies, hazards, and the environment. Master when to rotate, commit, reverse direction, or dash out of danger, and you’ll carve a path through even the tightest sections.

Levels are intentionally short and readable, but designed for mastery. Shurigatto ships with 49 handcrafted stages that invite quick retries, clear routes, and deliberate polish. Finishing a level is fast; mastering it—finding the perfect line and shaving off fractions of a second—unlocks the deeper challenge.

Across six worlds, you’ll confront six bosses, each guarding a stolen gem. Every arena has its own patterns and rhythm, demanding you apply everything you’ve learned under pressure. The arcade vibe—fast pace, timing, and pursuit of a high score—drives every fight and every climb toward a brisk, replayable loop.

The tone stays light and delightfully absurd: cats, sacred artifacts, and one very old mouse with a pocket full of issues. The visuals blend a playful 2D style with the goofy energy of 90s anime, evoking nostalgia while keeping the action fresh.

Shurigatto grew from a love of rotation‑based arcade games and is built around pushing a single movement system as far as it can go—delivering precision, speed, and a pulse-pounding loop of immediate retries.
