Static Shift description
Static Shift — Description
Static Shift is a psychological horror game that blends co-operative play with Lovecraftian dread. You and your fellow employees navigate a week-long shift in a sprawling warehouse, taking on tasks handed down by higher-ups while trying to survive things that reality would rather you forget. Decide to go solo or rally your colleagues as the terror grows unseen around you.
Each day unlocks more tools, expands your working area, and intensifies the problems you must face. You are the best employee, but the environment and its mysteries operate on a different schedule. Progression is earned through careful planning, quick thinking, and the ability to adapt as the warehouse reveals its true nature.
Anomalies and Danger
Anomalies and Lovecraftian monsters appear frequently during your shifts. Every strange encounter—hostile or not—must be logged and reported at the end of each day. With each sunrise, things worsen, and more problems flood your week. The threat is real, unpredictable, and always closer than it first appears.
Tasks and Discovery
You choose your own jobs at the warehouse, ranging from the mundane to the bizarre. Alternatively, you can explore the facility to uncover what isn’t being fully told: What are you really doing here? What is the warehouse for? What happened to the workers who came before you? Each choice shapes your fate and the unfolding mystery.
Rewards and Consequences
Completing tasks grants equipment to aid your survival. However, misplacing gear or selecting the wrong task can be fatal. The wrong decision carries a price that may weigh heavier than any tool you carry, forcing you to weigh risk against reward as the shift wears on.
Static Shift invites tense cooperation or haunted isolation, where careful planning, shared information, and nerve-defying exploration determine who makes it through the week—and what truths you uncover about the warehouse and yourself.
