CMChar: Your Virtual Companion

Your Desktop Will Never Be Lonely Again. CMChar brings your favorite characters to life right on your screen. Forget static windows — your mascots walk, idle, and watch over you as you work, play, or browse.

Living Personalities Powered by Local AI

Powered by Local AI (Ollama), everything runs 100% on your machine. Enjoy maximum privacy and zero internet dependency for chats.

Real Conversations: chat about any topic and receive contextual responses shaped by each character’s persona. Customizable Soul: tailor your mascot’s personality in the settings—whether you want a helpful assistant or a witty companion, it’s up to you.

Cross‑Mascot Interaction & RPG Progression

If you run multiple mascots on screen, they can talk to each other automatically, each with their own unique traits. The game‑like progression adds flavor to daily moments: gain XP through companionship time or chats, and watch your mascot evolve from Level 1 as you invest in the relationship.

Dynamic Affinity (Hearts) lets you influence what your mascot can do as you treat them well. Climb levels, unlock new interactions, and unlock potential as your bond grows.

Productivity That Feels Fun

CMChar blends gamified productivity with companionship. Use the Pomodoro Timer directly through your mascot to stay focused. Ask about system status in natural language to check CPU and memory usage before your next gaming session. Smart Reminders help you stay hydrated, remember meetings, or track tasks, all through chat.

Voice and Text Commands let you open software, close apps, or start timers just by speaking or typing naturally. Your mascot is there to support your workflow without interrupting it.

Fully Customizable Library & Overlay

Manage your collection visually with stats like Level, XP, and Affinity. Import your own images or GIFs to create new mascots in seconds. The Smart Overlay stays on top of everything and automatically dodges the mouse, so it never gets in your way.

CMChar is your personal desktop companion: lively, private, and deeply customizable. Bring characters to life, grow their personalities, and make every moment at the computer a little more magical.
