The Final Oath

The Final Oath is a roguelike survivor deck-builder where chaos reigns and the only rule is don’t die… again. It blends the grit of survivor runs with the tactical feel of a board game, delivering a challenging experience built on simple, focused mechanics. The action unfolds in Unreal Engine, capable of unleashing massive battles with up to 2000 enemies on screen as you push your luck and your deck to the limit.

You’ll choose from four unique heroes, each starting with a dedicated 30‑card Starter Deck. Your core objective is to assemble a 30‑card Battle Deck that balances core power, stats, and flexible tools: 6 Core Cards (the main weapons), 10 Stat Cards, and the remaining cards as Augments and Actions. Core Cards carry weapon power; Augments attach to Core Cards to grant unique perks; Actions are instant or conditional effects that punch above their weight. Stats steadily boost your performance and help you survive the onslaught.

Gameplay pivots on a clear, repeatable loop with strategic depth. Pick a map and difficulty—easy is still a challenge, rewarding players who commit to learning the rhythm. Your deck is shuffled into a draw pile. At the start, one Core Card is randomly equipped, setting your initial playstyle. As you fight and gather gold from fallen foes, you trigger a Draw Phase. Three top cards are revealed; you pick one to activate immediately, while the other two join the discard pile. When the draw pile runs dry, the discard reshuffles into a new draw pile, keeping the tension high.

After every Draw Phase, a Draft Phase appears: you’re offered three cards and must choose one, blind to its exact identity until you pick. The chosen card is added to your discard and will appear after the next reshuffle, nudging your deck toward greater quality and synergy. This drafting mechanic drives meaningful deck customization and long‑term strategy, encouraging you to curate a powerful, resilient pool of options as you strive to survive for 15 minutes.

Key features at launch include a diverse slate of options: 20 maps to conquer, 4 unique heroes to master, and plentiful booster packs earned in‑game to improve your starter decks. Expect procedurally generated Passive cards for limitless combinations, a skin system for hero customization, and controller support for comfortable, tactile play. The game also supports exotic cards and modern rendering upscaling options (FSR4, DLSS4, Intel XeSS) for supported devices.
