Steamwrecked is a steampunk survival game set high above a scorched world. With the ground overheated and uninhabitable, humanity has fled to the skies, living among floating wreckage and brass machines. Build a life in the clouds, pilot your airship, and endure the challenges of a wind-swept, gear-driven frontier where altitude equals safety.
In this free demo, you take command of a customizable airship, navigate treacherous skies, and explore a deserted aerial landscape. Your goal is to rise, scout for opportunities, and push beyond danger to reach society and shelter high above the world you left behind.
About the project — Steamwrecked is a compact project created by a team of 17 students over a 7-week period. The game is released as a free demo to share ideas, spark joy, and invite players to experience a taste of skybound survival and invention.
Core Gameplay
Pilot your airship through a world of drifting ruins and wind-scarred skies. Master altitude, steer through hazards, and explore a deserted upper realm that rewards curiosity and careful planning. Progress comes from adapting to the environment, upgrading your gear, and staying ahead of the threats that lurk among the clouds.
Blueprints, Crafting & Upgrades
Find and collect blueprints to unlock new items, upgrades, and survival tools. Blueprints can be crafted at a dedicated crafting station or constructed directly on your ship using a wrench. Gaining knowledge and mastering your gear are key to extending your range, increasing your resilience, and exploring farther from home.
Ship Customization
Expand and customize your airship to fit your playstyle. Gather materials, wield the wrench, and let your creativity roam free as you enhance hulls, engines, and systems. A well-tuned vessel opens new routes, improves survivability, and lets you push further into the skies.
