SnekromancY

The tower is under attack by stupid elves, and your only chance is to transform into a snake. Slither through the dungeon, collect treasure, and race back to the top of your tower to survive. Your goal is to gather as many coins as possible and reach level 10 for a high score.

Core mechanics

Your snake form decays over time. You must eat constantly to maintain it: eating grows your length, but as health decays you shrink and can die if you run out of health segments. Food replenishes health and adds a new segment. Small amounts respawn so there’s always something to eat on the map.

Move with the cursor keys or WASD (remappable in settings). Movement is continuous—you keep sliding until you collide with a wall or yourself, which damages you. Ladders appear across the map, and enemy invaders may use them to enter the dungeon. You can eat enemies to defeat them, though combat can cost health. If you defeat foes with your minions, they drop gems, potions, or other items.

Gems, upgrades, and minions

Collect gems to fill an XP bubble. When it’s full, you gain an upgrade. Chests grant upgrades immediately. Upgrades boost your snake—adding health or speed—or summon and empower minions who ride on your back and shoot at enemies. If you lose a segment and there isn’t enough room for all your minions, one minion drops to the floor and continues shooting from its position. You can reclaim it later if you regain the space.

Progression and challenges

To advance a level, you must collect all keys on that level. After gathering the keys, stairs unlock to the next floor, but a powerful boss waits at the summit once you unlock them. Collect as many coins as you can and push past level 10 to secure a high score.

Roadmap and features

The game is a work-in-progress with plans to add more bosses, additional minions and attacks, relics and magic items, level selection and varied dungeon themes, traps, and player-laid effects. Future updates may include save/load, leaderboards, bonus treasure rooms, and expanded content to deepen the SnekromancY experience.
