A dark, turn-based roguelite where you are hunted by your own inner demons. Master the dynamic turn economy, collect loot, and push your limits. The deeper your suffering, the greater the rewards. How much are you willing to endure in the pursuit of power?

Inspired by harsh titles like Path of Exile: Delirium, Quasimorph, and Darkest Dungeon, Echoes of Agony challenges you to live with the consequences of greed or cowardice. Push too far and you risk losing progress; pull your punches and you may fail when the next challenge arrives.

Dynamic turn order and action economy

• Forget “one action per turn.” Turn order shifts with stamina usage, creating a living battlefield.
• Stamina regenerates outside turns. When your stamina is full, it’s your turn, pausing regeneration.
• Act while you can, then end your turn to resume regeneration. Spending less stamina brings your next turn sooner; spending more delays it.

Greed as the difficulty slider

As Echoes accumulate, enemies grow stronger and gain damage multipliers. Your characters gain Agony after failed actions: a trade-off that reduces stats but increases drop rates. Weigh tactical outsmarting against overpowering foes to secure power.

Risk and reward on progression

Advance through premade Levels chosen for your run, with easy layouts or modifiers to fit your mood. You may extract Echoes at the mid-point if you wish, but cowardice comes at a cost. Clear the Level to keep your hard-earned Echoes, yet carrying more echoes weighs you down with a heavier burden.

Customization and endless power

Between Levels, trade and respec your character with an NPC. Enchant your gear with affixes that scale in cost as power grows. Disenchant unwanted items for Echoes, or roll the dice in search of the perfect drop for your build. Echoes of Agony rewards bold choices and clever planning.
