The Developer description

The Developer is a story-driven defense game where you slip into the role of a brilliant coder who becomes a planetary defender. By activating a powerful control device, you must repel alien lifeforms and push toward planetary domination. The fate of a world rests on your strategic decisions and timing as you stand between advancing aliens and the last bastions of human settlement.

Turrets are the backbone of your defense. Pre-installed by the vanguard, they are scattered across the map to cover key approaches. You’ll deploy two turret types—Cannon and Missile—each with three upgrade levels. Leveling up increases how many bullets or missiles they can fire, turning your defense into a blazing corridor of destruction. Yet turrets operate within the total power capacity of the control device, so you must manage turning them on and off to stay within the limit. Thoughtful placement, selective activation, and precise timing are essential to hold the line against the advancing waves.

Beyond the static guns, you wield a portable weapon to lure enemies and shield the blind spots of your turret network. This tool lets you bait foes into vulnerable angles, yank them away from vulnerable turrets, and secure critical chokepoints—giving your automated guns the advantage they need to survive each brutal encounter.

Each wave presents a unique combination of monsters: relentless melee stalkers, armored tanks, swift ranged attackers, and deadly assassins. The pressure builds as the enemy forces tighten their grip on the map. In the final assault, a boss monster rises to test every facet of your strategy. A wave ends only when all enemies in that engagement are eliminated, rewarding you with the chance to endure the next onslaught or falter and fail.

Health is precious. If the player character or the control device runs out of health, the mission ends in failure. Only by surviving all waves can you prove your mastery and advance to the next planet. The Developer rewards close attention to its story, drawing you deeper into the conflict and the ultimate objective: secure planetary domination while uncovering the narrative that binds the world together.
