Shipping and Handling description

Shipping & Handling — Overview

Shipping & Handling is a cooperative multiplayer sandbox delivery game where teams navigate through hostile environments while protecting a shared payload from damage until delivery. You and your crew take on delivery runs across strange, dangerous spaces, facing terrain hazards, limited resources, and the chaos that comes from coordinating as a team. The goal is to stay alive and keep the cargo intact until it reaches extraction.

Core Gameplay

Players form a delivery crew tasked with transporting lost packages to extraction points across expansive, hostile zones. Scout routes and terrain, collect cargo in varying sizes and weights, and transport it using silly tools, mounts, and physics-based interactions. Confront hazards, enemies, and obstacles in clever, inventive ways. Deliveries reward progression and currency, while failure occurs when cargo is dropped, damaged, or lost. Each run can be completed in multiple ways, but poor teamwork or risky shortcuts can doom the cargo and the mission.

Online Co-op & Solo Play

Designed around online cooperative play, players coordinate movement, timing, and tool usage to keep the payload safe. Mistakes ripple through the team and create cascading challenges. Solo play is supported, but the game thrives on emergent multiplayer situations and shared decision-making.

Traversal, Physics & Hazards

The game features a physics-based balancing system with vertical traversal—climbing, jumping, and sliding. Expect dynamic hazards like unstable ground, environmental obstacles, hostile wildlife, and enemy robots seeking to steal deliveries. Cargo interacts with the world and players, and movement is deliberately physical and imperfect, producing unpredictable and often hilarious outcomes.

Tools, Gear & Mounts

Arm your crew with specialized tools to move cargo and navigate terrain, and deploy gadgets to forge new paths and support your team. Tools include ladders, bridges, grappling hooks, healing hot tubs, energy drink grenades, and more. Mounts assist with transport but require care—feeding and upkeep are part of strategy, and sometimes difficult situations force you to abandon a mount.

Progression, Rewards & Customization

Earn currency from successful deliveries to unlock tools, upgrades, and new traversal options. Access more dangerous delivery zones with higher rewards and unlock cosmetics to customize your crew and gear.

World, Tone & Development

The game presents a stylized, low-poly, cartoony world across multiple large delivery zones. A growing set of tools, cargo types, traversal challenges, and player customization options keep the experience fresh. Shipping & Handling is developed by a small independent team with background in large-scale multiplayer projects, including work on Rec Room. Features, content, and scope may evolve during active development.

What Makes It Unique

The core appeal lies in cooperative navigation through complex environments and active combat zones while safeguarding the payload. The challenge comes from real-time coordination, physical interaction, and strategic route choices, creating unpredictable and memorable moments that emerge from teamwork.
