Echophobia description
Echophobia
“Silence won't save you, but screaming will definitely kill you.” Echophobia twists the childhood game of Blind Man's Buff into a terrifying 1v3 asymmetric horror. The world is plunged into absolute darkness, and sight comes only from sound—and sound is what betrays you.
The Chaos Unleashed
The Hunter: You are blind, yet you are the predator. The world is revealed to you through LiDAR-like sonar, painting every footstep, nervous giggle, and shouted scream in glowing detail. Use the sounds you hear to track and hunt down the Runners who are scrambling for an escape.
The Runners: Trapped in suffocating darkness, you must work together to locate ritual objects and escape. You can throw objects to create distractions, conceal yourself in corners, and hope your plan holds while a teammate’s sneeze or a sudden scream doesn’t give you away.
How the game is played
In Echophobia, communication and nerve are everything. The Runners must balance cooperation with the instinct to survive. Every action is a risk—moving, throwing, or making noise can reveal your position to the Hunter. The silence you cling to is a weapon, and every sound can be your downfall.
Core Features
- Microphone Detection: The game is listening in real life. Shouting or crying out lights you up in the game world, turning your cheers into a beacon for the Hunter. Hold your breath, if you can, while your friends panic.
- Visualized Sound: Darkness is the canvas and sound is the paint. Your every step and whisper paints a louder outline of your location—move with care, or reveal yourself with a single misstep.
- Chaotic Fun: Use decoys and distractions to throw the Hunter off, but be mindful—a misplaced bottle can betray a teammate. Cooperation is optional; survival is the objective.
Prepare for a nerve-wracking race against the dark, where noise is both your compass and your trap. In Echophobia, atmosphere, tension, and fast-paced cat-and-mouse gameplay collide in a nightmare you won’t forget.
