DEATHMARK description
DEATHMARK
DEATHMARK is an occult, table-top social deduction game for 5–8 players. Up to eight friends sit around a table, secretly submitting their cards or actions, and then watch the chaos unfold. Bluff, redirect, protect, put on trial, and betray your so‑called allies. Can you survive the DEATHMARK?
A group of cultists convenes in the In-Between, a realm between the physical plane and the astral. Some cultists are corrupted by a hidden entity and will backstab the others to be the only ones to ascend. Two factions clash: the Untainted, who seek to uncover and eliminate the Corrupted, and the Corrupted, who aim to wipe out the Untainted and avoid detection.
If there is one word to describe the game, it’s chaotic — in a good way. The turn structure creates constant mind games as trust shifts and accusations fly.
How it’s played
- Selection Phase: Everyone secretly selects cards or actions and, if needed, targets, then submits them to the entity using their stamp.
- Chaos Phase: The entity processes all cards simultaneously. You may gain new information, a friend might steal one of your cards, or you might receive the DEATHMARK.
- Discussion Phase: Discuss what happened, share suspicions, and decide whether to trial a suspect. You are allowed one trial per game.
The game repeats these phases until a faction wins. The victorious team ascends to the astral plane.
Each role provides at least two unique Ability cards plus a chargeable Sigil — a physical totem on the table that charges as you play and can be activated for a game‑changing action when ready. Items are available to all roles, adding new ways to gather information and influence the turn arc.
Online play supports 5–8 players with simultaneous card submissions. Create a private lobby code, gather your table, and prepare for a party-night of tension and misdirection. The Corrupted know their own alignment to each other, but not which exact role anyone holds; Untainted must root them out before they are eliminated.
Can you identify whom to trust, survive the trials, and ascend before the DEATHMARK seals your fate?
