Don't Click The Flower description

Don’t Click The Flower — Description

Don’t Click The Flower is a narrative‑driven personality test disguised as a game. It responds to you, adapts to you, and quietly judges you as the story unfolds. Built around meaningful choices rather than repetitive questions, the experience continuously reshapes its narration based on what you say, what you avoid, and what you think you understand about yourself. Your words matter as much as your hesitations, and the tale often reveals more than any quiz could.

With over 20 distinct final profiles, each ending is the consequence of a path you carved through dialogue and decisions. There are no numbers or scores—only outcomes woven directly into the narrative. It isn’t a puzzle to be gamed or a loophole to exploit; it’s an experience meant to expose contradictions, discomforts, and patterns you may not anticipate. What will be your Spirit Animal?

Designed to be played in a single uninterrupted session, the game offers no saves, no retries—one run, one outcome. The true ending may surprise you as much as it unsettles you, leaving you with a different sense of self than you started with. This is not about mastery, but about self‑reflection embedded in the storytelling.

About the project: Don’t Click The Flower is the creator’s first game as a solo, self‑taught developer. The journey began as a technical exercise in Unreal Engine 5, exploring branching narratives, data tables, and delayed consequences. It evolved into a focused, experimental experience that is simple in form yet deliberately uncomfortable in intent. After a year, the creator remains proud of this unusual first step and invites feedback from players and fellow developers alike.

Artwork and writing: the original text is penned in French, with drawings, a minimal interface, and all assets handmade. Visuals were created by hand and then processed for in‑game presentation, with color variations leaning on red accents. The visuals and ideas are tightly integrated with the experience, carrying a personal touch from the author.

Music and privacy: the game uses AI‑generated music, delivering a large number of unique tracks chosen to fit the evolving mood. The music serves the experience and remains within the game, not intended for redistribution or streaming outside official channels. Importantly, the game does not collect any player data—no answers are stored, ensuring your experience stays private.

This is a title that invites introspection rather than competition. It challenges you to confront what you reveal through your choices and to question the assumptions you bring into play. One run, one sequence, one moment of truth.
