Aethelon — Infinite Open-World Sandbox

Aethelon is an expansive, infinite sandbox where you can build anything, be anyone, and survive in a world that tests you at every turn. The terrain is voxel-based yet paired with detailed character models, delivering seamless immersion as you shape landscapes and embody diverse beings. You can possess creatures ranging from humanoid NPCs to wolves, including multiple variants, unlocking unique interactions, combat styles, and story possibilities. The world is procedurally generated and supports reproducible seeds along with advanced region-saving tools so you can share your creations and reliably recreate beloved locations. This project is in Pre-Alpha 0.0.2 and continues to evolve with feedback.

• Harvest trees by removing the root block to reflect natural resource gathering and maintainable ecosystems.
• Build with full blocks, half-slabs, and directional stairs for precise architectural control.
• Explore infinite procedural worlds with a rich variety of biomes and climates to discover and map.
• Repositionable follower camera system enables cinematic recording and dynamic storytelling (P key).

Movement & controls

• Mantle lets you climb blocks higher than your jump height for vertical traversal.
• Crouch prevents falling off edges and enables careful platforming (Ctrl).
• Sprint increases movement speed for rapid exploration (Shift).
• Multiple camera modes — 1st person, 3rd person, and top-down views to suit your preference (V).
• Astral camera mode enables fast travel and broad exploration across the world (C).
