Null Zone: No Way Back description

Null Zone: No Way Back

An old-time ARPG currently in Alpha, offering a compact yet challenging fantasy world. Explore roughly 30 maps, encounter around 10 mob types, and push through a single dungeon. The game is evolving, with plans for multiplayer farming and PvP arenas in the future.

  • Skills come from equipment — there are no classes. Your gear defines your abilities, and you can swap weapons to change your playstyle. Not all skills are implemented yet.
  • Armor sizes matter — different fits for humans, orcs, and elves. If you can’t equip something, check the size.
  • Durability system — melee weapons lose durability on hit, ranged weapons on use, and some skills cost extra durability. Armor wears down from damage (physical vs. magical). Mobs wear gear too, and you can loot their worn equipment and repair it at vendors.
  • Harsh consequences for death — when you fall, you lose almost everything. Keep your flask and gold, but otherwise you start over, so choose fights wisely.
  • Vision and awareness — your cone-style vision follows your mouse. Enemies can sneak up from behind, and mobs have vision cones to alert nearby friends when spotted.
  • Portal stones and zone mechanics — each danger zone has a portal. Kill all mobs to claim the zone’s teleport stone, then escape to safety in the city. Mobs respawn five minutes after a zone is cleared. Zones reset completely when re-entered, offering fresh danger each time.
  • Autosave only — the game saves automatically when your stash changes. Only stash contents are saved, preventing save-scumming.

Your current objective: defeat the Dungeon Boss. Bosses spawn with varying chances, not guaranteed drops. The first boss has about a 33% spawn chance and will drop a unique item with 100% certainty when defeated. Of course you can simply explore and enjoy the challenge as it evolves.

Note: Null Zone is in an early development stage. balance, animations, and sounds may change as new features are added and systems are refined.
