Somewhere in the middle of the sea, a colossal beast sleeps near your island. It wakes only to hunger, and if you fail to offer a proper feast, you risk becoming the next course. You and five other islanders must join forces to survive until the end of each week. The fate of the group hangs on shared wits, careful resource management, and bold decisions when the Maw stirs.

If a fellow islander falls in the struggle, you can lift their memory by reclaiming their mask, keeping them alive in spirit as you press on. If someone isn’t pulling their weight, you have a grim option: sacrifice them to the Maw to buy precious seconds for the rest. The choice weighs on every heartbeat and every decision you make together.

Scavenge the island for sustenance—fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, and other found provisions. You’ll need to balance generosity and self-preservation: give food to the beast to appease its hunger, or eat it yourself to stave off your own hunger. Remember, your stomach is a constant threat as hours slip by and the Maw grows hungrier.

The island is not your friend. Dozens of hostile creatures stalk the shores, eager to savor a human. You must decide whether to hunt or be hunted, using cunning, tools, and teamwork to survive each perilous encounter. The landscape shifts as you play, turning every run into a fresh trial as paths and hidden areas reshape themselves.

Time is ruthless. The beast’s patience wears thin, and you must ensure a steady supply of food before the timer expires. Darkness compounds danger: as night deepens, island creatures spawn with greater ferocity, forcing you to adapt, coordinate, and act fast to outlast the Maw.

What you can do beyond surviving is part of the thrill. The game rewards your efforts with a progression of islandy rewards and cosmetic upgrades. Unlock cosmetics to customize your appearance, wield practical tools to fend off threats, and collect achievements that become tattoos you can proudly display. Pray to the ancestors to gain special powers, or drink island brews to temporarily boost your abilities.
