Earth is under invasion and only one defender stands between humanity and annihilation. Play as CPL CHAI, stationed at Facility 45, and hold the line against endless waves of Zephari invaders. Survive the onslaught, push back the alien forces, and forge a path toward a safer future.

EXODUS delivers fast-paced, 2D top-down shooter action where every encounter demands quick reflexes and smart upgrades. Navigate chaotic battlefield moments, aim precisely, and unleash a torrent of fire to erase advancing hordes. The challenge escalates with each wave as enemies adapt and relentless pressure builds.

Environmental conditions matter. The game features day and night cycles and weather effects that alter visibility and tactics, forcing you to adjust your approach as the sky changes and storms roll in.

Face a diverse lineup of alien enemies, each with distinct behaviors and attack patterns. Learning their tricks and exploiting their weaknesses is key to survival.

Your arsenal grows as you play. Acquire powerful weapon upgrades to increase damage, rate of fire, and efficiency, and purchase support items that can turn the tide of battle. Call in airstrikes and deploy other temporary advantages to break through overwhelming moments and survive to fight another wave.

EXODUS uses a wave-based defense loop: endure successive assaults, adapt your loadout, and coordinate strikes to push back the Zephari invasion. Mastery of upgrades and timing is essential to withstand the relentless pressure and secure Earth’s future.

Developed as a student project at DigiPen Institute of Technology, EXODUS was created for educational purposes to explore core concepts of pacing, combat feedback, and level progression within a compact action-oriented experience.
