Unlatched is a single-player horror experience that mirrors the dread of asymmetrical games, but it plays offline with bots. Enjoy the same heart-pounding chases and tense escapes without online toxicity or server issues, letting you test nerve and strategy at your own pace.

You step into the shoes of Haley Johnson, an aspiring reporter who finds herself trapped in a cat-and-mouse nightmare with three sadistic killers. The night is unforgiving, the corridors are claustrophobic, and every corner could hide danger. Your goal is clear—escape and survive—but the path to freedom is anything but simple. Environment, decisions, and timing all stack the odds, turning each playthrough into a test of wits and nerve.

Two paths to freedom

Unlatched invites you to pick a playstyle that shapes how you confront the threat. You can choose Stealth to slip through the shadows and use the map’s layout to your advantage, or choose Violence to force your way through obstacles and confront the danger directly. Each approach influences encounters with the killers and the way you progress toward the exit.

Stealth

• Hide in the shadows and move with care to stay out of sight.
• Use distractions to misdirect pursuers and buy precious seconds.
• Search for keys and unlock doors that lead you closer to the exit.

Violence

• Break down doors to accelerate your path and disrupt the killers’ pursuit.
• Engage enemies directly, trading speed for control of the moment.
• Navigate the environment by weighing risk and reward as you push toward the exit.

Offline by design, Unlatched maintains the intensity of asymmetric horror with bots filling the roles typically played by human opponents. The result is a concentrated, high-stakes experience where you decide the pace—quietly evading or aggressively confronting the threat—without relying on online matchmaking or a live player base.
