Cadets Stories: Year One description
Cadets Stories: Year One
A story‑driven visual novel set in the early 2000s at a Ukrainian artillery institute. Six adult cadets share the same barracks, drills, and strict routines, each carrying a unique past. Through conversations, memories, and personal confessions, they reveal life stories—friendships, rivalries, ambitions, and romantic entanglements that shape who they are becoming. Experience their daily lives as they navigate discipline, loyalty, temptation, and the difficult choices that define character.
Gameplay blends narrative with skill‑based progression. The world is around 32,000 words of storytelling spread across 25+ scenes, with progress regularly interrupted by training and personal challenges. Your performance during both coursework and intimate moments influences relationships and determines how each character’s story ends.
Cadets Stories: Year One features four minigame types, appearing repeatedly with modifiers, difficulty variations, and evolving mechanics:
- Arkanoid‑inspired arcade game with 10 lives, enemies, an in‑game shop, boss fights, and no bottom pit.
- Durak (The Fool) — a traditional Russian card game adapted for competitive matches.
- Domino — reimagined offering stacking modifiers that reshape winning strategies.
- Memory — themed sets with 600+ images, randomly selected for each match, ensuring variety and replayability.
Characters and replayability are central to the experience. The game presents 3 + 6 main characters, each with a distinct personality and background. Every character offers two endings—good or bad—unlockable through gameplay performance. Different minigames yield different point types, guiding which endings become available. Replay to improve results, unlock better outcomes, and uncover new story details.
Mature content notice: the game contains nudity and sexual content intended for mature audiences. All depicted characters are 18+ adults. Adult scenes are integrated into character‑driven narratives and support the story rather than being the primary focus. Not suitable for all ages or for viewing in a workplace environment.
