Future Knight description

Future Knight is a 2D action Shoot ’Em Up that fuses retro LCD charm with brutal, modern combat. The setting is surreal and time-bent: it’s May 23, 1993, the Lady of the Past has wiped humanity’s memory, and only a retro-futuristic robot—built from the remnants of a 90s soap opera actor—stands in the way. Inside you lives Two More, a powerful but unpredictable entity. Your mission is to travel eight hours back in time to stop the apocalypse before it begins, navigating a world that blends cute visuals with grotesque twists.

The game revolves around Synergy: “Alone you go fast, together you go further.” You play as Future Knight (the Muscle) and Two More (the Agility), inhabiting a single body and switching between them in an instant to craft deadly combos. Use Future Knight’s Techno Blaster and heavy weaponry for brute force, then unleash Two More’s agility to dash, climb walls, squeeze into tight spots, and deliver short-range attacks. The core loop is a deadly dance: shoot, dodge, swap, and chain together tricks to overwhelm enemies while keeping both characters’ energy and health in balance.

Progress unfolds across 8 hours and 8 biomes, each representing a critical hour before the world’s memory wipe. Levels alternate between horizontal and vertical scrolling and are packed with physics-based chaos, from dangerous construction sites to ominous sushi conveyor belts. Every biome is designed to test timing and strategy as you race toward your destination, racing against the clock as you sabotage the cult’s day step by step.

The visuals push a “Liquid Crystal” aesthetic, a unique pixel art direction where LCD nostalgia comes alive with ink-blot style animation. The world blends the adorable with the grotesque, inspired by classic handheld games and the surreal touches of Satoshi Kon. Everything feels alive, with moving ink-like shapes and a quirky, unfiltered narrative that is light on pretension and heavy on fun, social satire, and bizarre moments.

Key features include unforgettable boss battles designed to test reflexes and strategy, the collection of mysterious sectarian triangles that unlock paths to the truth, and a narrative that leans into dark humor and surreal situations while driving you toward a clock-ticking finale. Beat each hour, master the chemistry between Future Knight and Two More, and outsmart a cult that rewrites memory itself. Can you save the future before it becomes the past?
