Transit Tag is a strategic travel game set across the United States. In a design that evokes a board game, routes appear on a top‑down map and you choose where to start your journey. The path you pick guides your travel from city to city, carefully planning which intermediate trains to ride along the way.

How to play

After selecting a route, you move through a sequence of cities by selecting the trains that connect them. In each intermediate city, the game pivots to its primary mechanic: Challenges. These mini‑games are the ticket to continue your journey. Each successful challenge pays the fare to advance to the next leg of the route.

Challenges span a variety of game styles, from traditional card and board game-inspired play to arcade‑style diversions. Players tackle Hanafuda, Hangman, Bowman, Snake, and other quick tasks. With more than 20 distinct challenges, the key to progression is speed and accuracy—complete them efficiently to keep your voyage on track.

The AI Chaser

A persistent AI Chaser mirrors your route and attempts to tag you as you travel the same transit network. Your main goal is to reach the destination ahead of the Chaser, so fast completion of challenges is vital. Strategic use of powerups can delay or confuse the AI, giving you crucial breathing room when the chase tightens.

Routes and goals

The game offers 15 different routes, each offering a distinct path through cities and landmarks. Your objective is to reach the end of your chosen route while staying ahead of the AI and paying fares by conquering the challenges along the way. The variety of routes and challenges invites multiple playthroughs, encouraging you to discover faster strategies and new combinations of mini‑games.
