Atelier of Oblivion description
Atelier of Oblivion — Description
Step into a Gothic Mystery Adventure where the nights belong to the departed. Atelier of Oblivion unfolds in a worn atelier hidden in the forest, where forgotten souls arrive with regrets and no clear memory of their end. They invite you to hear their stories, and as the Artist you craft a final painting to restore what they have lost.
The Master awaits in the quiet studio: a portrait hangs unfinished, a frame stands empty, and every night the easel calls for your touch. Your task is to draw out the truth from the visitors’ memories, or shield them with a comforting lie. The way they meet death—and the peace they seek—depends entirely on your choices.
Gameplay
Explore a 19th‑century–inspired atelier and use dialogue to coax the departed’s lost memories. Wander the studio, uncover clues, or spread out newspapers and maps to trace each visitor’s identity. As conversations unfold, core keywords are saved on the palette as pigments tied to specific colors. At the end of each encounter, you select paints at the easel to complete a personal final gift for the departed; the colors you choose shape the finished painting and the reverie that follows.
All clues and collected paints are kept in the artist’s sketchbook. Open it anytime with Tab to review and combine clues, gathering fragments needed to reach an ending. As the story progresses, the artist’s own past slowly comes into view, revealing hidden stories of each character—and of the atelier itself.
There is no single right ending. A Final Tale unfolds through Farewell Choices that lead to different conclusions, yet every path offers meaning. When an ending is reached, the credits glimpse what might follow for the departed’s family, friends, or lover. You can choose to cover the truth and grant eternal rest or let the departed linger within the memory most dearly missed.
With haunting visuals and intimate storytelling, Atelier of Oblivion lets you decide the nature of solace, the burden of memory, and the price of truth in a night-bound world where painting can heal—or reveal the silence beneath a life unfinished.
