Magma Karta

Magma Karta is an original strategy card game where you face off against a computer or a friend, winning by planning around ever changing conditions. The rules shift as you play, demanding constant decisions and flexible strategy.

Three Core Rules

• Your cards’ numbers must be higher than your opponent’s.
• The Even/Odd status of your card must match the declaring card (located on the left near the draw pile).
• Your card’s element (Fire or Earth) must be opposite of your enemy’s health card.

As you play, conditions may change that directly affect what a card does. In a game of Fire vs Earth, Even vs Odd, and High vs Low cards, Magma Karta offers abundant opportunities for strategy and calculated risk.

Modes of Play

• Quickplay — a classic match that ends after one player loses.
• Legacy — a long-form roguelite mode that can continue indefinitely, featuring upgrades and bosses.
• Multiplayer — online play against a friend, preserving the classic feel with a modern online twist.
• Arcade — an Arcade hub housing multiple minigames inspired by classic retro titles.

Roguelite Progress in Legacy

In Legacy, you can trade your score to purchase powerful upgrades called Magma Cards that alter how you play during a run. You can hold multiple upgrades at once, enabling flexible and unique builds. Each few rounds introduces a new boss to challenge your strategy and test your loadout.

Wager It All

Earned gold can be wagered to raise the stakes. Win a match and your gold doubles; lose and it’s gone. Big victories unlock cosmetics in the shop, letting you personalize your look as you climb the ranks.

Endless Replayability

Magma Karta is designed for endless play, whether you want a quick session or a long grind. Its shifting rules and modular upgrades invite fresh strategies again and again, making each run a new challenge and a new chance to test your wits.
