MARCH description

MARCH

MARCH is a movement-based rhythm-narrative game where you play as the only robot in a human marching band. Follow the routine and tap the drum to your heart’s content as you navigate levels where the music adapts to your timing, all while a rich story about belonging unfolds. You play as CL-1K, the main character, and the game treats rhythm as a universal language.

Rhythm is Everywhere — CL-1K sees rhythm in everything. Levels unfold not only on the football field but also in classrooms, hallways, and other everyday spaces inside a high school. Expect lighthearted mischief and unexpected moments as the narrative advances.

Play as a Small Part of a Large Band — Each level places you as a small piece of a much larger ensemble, choreographed to move with the beat. You perform with others, maintaining formation and timing. The game offers multiple difficulty settings: timed input plus directional input, a single input mode, or the option to watch levels as cutscenes. If you miss a cue, you can try to catch up and slip back into your position before you’re noticed.

Become Part of the Band — Unlike many rhythm games, MARCH weaves a strong narrative into the gameplay. Between songs and during performances, you’ll talk with fellow band members, explore the town, and grapple with fitting in and finding acceptance. The tone blends the drama of a marching band with the experience of being an extreme outsider, delivering moments of humor, tension, and heart.

A Visual and Musical Journey — The game invites you to move, tap, and engage with a living score that evolves with your choices. The adaptive music responds to your rhythm, ensuring each run feels unique. The story threads through every corridor, gym, and rehearsal, inviting you to question identity, community, and what it means to belong in a world where music can bridge differences.

Progression and Expression — MARCH is a fresh take on rhythm games that places you at the center of a moving narrative. Ready your steps, trust your timing, and join a band that’s larger than you realize—where every beat brings you closer to finding your place.

Beyond Performance — The experience deepens with exploration and dialogue. You’ll learn teammates’ rhythms, hear their stories, and choose how much to share about yourself. Performance challenges blend with character moments, and conversation choices can shift relationships and unlock new scenes. The visuals fuse athletic energy with intimate beats as you move through practice fields, hallways, and late-night rehearsals. The soundtrack ties melodic lines to your choices, keeping the music responsive and the stakes personal.
