Top of That Thing Called Mountain

Two dolphins embark on the toughest adventure: reaching the summit of a towering mountain. They craft a seaworthy vehicle from materials floating on the ocean, turning the sea into their workshop as they attempt a climb that challenges physics and patience alike.

Top of That Thing Called Mountain is a two-player online co-op, 2D platformer inspired by Getting Over It. You and a partner join forces to ascend a perilous peak, navigating a sequence of physics-driven obstacles that demand delicate balance between risk and coordination.

The core idea is a Shared-Tool, Split-Role system. Progress hinges on teamwork and precise timing, using two essential tools to propel your ascent:

• Rope: Player 1 aims, while Player 2 shoots the harpoon rope to latch onto holds and create connection.
• Air Cannon: Player 2 aims, while Player 1 shoots to launch, reposition, or push components toward the next grip.

The two players must constantly communicate to synchronize these actions. Each successful exchange of aiming and firing translates into a new opportunity to grip, swing, and climb higher toward the summit. Mastering how the rope and air cannon interact is the key to overcoming the mountain’s tricky choreography.

Because the game is online multiplayer, you’ll team up with a partner who could be nearby or oceans away. The experience emphasizes cooperation and shared responsibility: both players contribute to every move, trading control between aiming and shooting to keep the ascent moving.

The atmosphere blends challenging platforming with a playful, aquatic theme. The visuals and rhythm reinforce the sense of a difficult but collaborative ascent, where patience, communication, and practice slowly turn a daunting climb into a rewarding victory.

If you enjoy a demanding, puzzle-tinged platformer that hinges on teamwork, strategy, and real-time coordination, Top of That Thing Called Mountain invites you to pair up and reach the top together.
