Pug Trouble is a compact, action‑driven adventure built around five distinct levels. Each run drops you into floors filled with destructible blocks, hidden gems, and waves of enemies. Your objective is to blow up blocks to reveal gems and the exit while you hunt down foes and dodge hazards. The level layouts are partly randomly generated, ensuring fresh challenges across attempts. Between runs you can upgrade your drill, choosing from options that influence digging power, movement, and combat, letting you craft a build that fits your playstyle.

As you descend, you’ll encounter a level boss on the last floor of every level. Defeating bosses requires smart use of your upgraded drill and combat perks while managing the risk of bursting through blocks at the right moments. The game is designed for short, repeatable sessions: you can replay any level as many times as you like and progress toward unlocking and completing a final boss level, providing a clear loop of grind, growth, and reward.

Progression and experimentation: the short runtime is intentional to encourage rapid decisions and experimentation with different builds. Each ascent offers fresh combinations of upgrades and layouts, inviting you to test new strategies for digging, evading, and fighting through the dreamlike obstacle courses.

Controls and platform: Pug Trouble is created in GameMaker Studio 2 and is built for quick, arcade‑style play. It supports an Xbox 360 controller, or players can choose between two keyboard schemes: WASD or arrow keys for movement and actions, making it accessible across setups.
