When the light inside you awakens, you find yourself in a dark abyss among neglected graves. You wander through damp, narrow halls that open into vast underground labyrinths, all lined with specks of white light—motess you must absorb to fuel your pale, white flame. The world is alive with peculiar foes and fleeting allies, and every turn brings a choice that shapes the fate of your Vessel.

Key encounters include skeletal Pot-Heads, shadowy Black Motes, and the radiantly glowing Gazer, a creature that can siphon power from motes. Friendly figures such as Jari the Cat and the enigmatic Sculptor offer exchanges: items collected during your journey can be traded to incrementally improve your Vessel and its abilities.

Your goal is to harness resources to dispel the looming dark presence over the Abyss, then escape back to the surface where even greater challenges await. Every corridor, room, and chest hides opportunity—and danger.

Gameplay & Progression

Hypnotic, high-stakes action centers on collecting motes to become Empowered. In this state, your speed and destructive potential surge, and you deal contact damage while smashing obstacles. Your movement speed scales with the number of motes you carry, allowing you to unleash fast, devastating sequences as you cleanse the darkness.

Defeating enemies reveals collectables that fuel your growth. You also harvest the latent energy of fallen souls to nurture Vesselblooms, which grow glowing bulbs you can exchange to increase your Capacity—the maximum number of hits you can endure before breaking.

Roomfuls of foes conceal valuable items in chests. Gather Kindling to bolster your spiritual flame, and discover unique tools like Ceramic Glaze and Pot Lid, which modify gameplay—enabling ranged attacks against certain foes or preserving motes upon death.

Replay & Endings

The challenge evolves in New Game Plus, where enemies boast higher HP and deal more damage. How many cycles you can complete is part of the test the Abyss offers.

The journey concludes with three endings, each reflecting the path you forged through light, motes, and memory—decisions echoed in the world you leave behind.
