Basic cards (Ace through King) carry no innate effects on their own; your power comes from pairing them with Special Cards. Some effects favor low numbered cards or face cards, while others reward descending order stacks. You can even avoid combining them to prolong a stack, breaking the traditional 13-card limit. The result is space to craft game‑changing combinations, uncover hidden cards, discover covers, and unlock new decks.

Secrets hide both inside and outside runs. You can discover secret codes that unlock hidden rounds offering tough trials. Succeeding in these trials grants a powerful Cover to accompany you on future runs.

The game challenges you with a suite of rare tools that shape every decision: Covers, Zodiacs, Minor Arcana, Virtues, and Callspot modifiers. These elements appear sparsely, so each pick carries weight and can redefine the board.
