WARSHIFT 2 — Action, Strategy and RPG in one hybrid

WARSHIFT 2 blends Action, Strategy and Role‑Playing into an innovative game genre. Build bases, manage troops, and then come down to keep your enemy at gunpoint in dynamic battles while you customize your main characters.

Core Gameplay

Experience an action‑RTS hybrid with seamless toggling between Third Person Action and Strategy modes in real time on the battlefield. Command armies, deploy defenses, and execute tactical moves as you scan the whole front line or dive into personal combat with hero units. Lead your forces across large skirmishes that mix ground, air and space operations against relentless hordes of enemies.

Customization and Heroes

Customize, upgrade and evolve hero units—the combat avatars at the heart of WARSHIFT 2. Each Hero comes with a unique super‑ability and a personal weapons loadout, with dozens of weapons and upgrades to tailor playstyle. New addons for heroes include drones and turrets to extend strategic options on the battlefield.

Units, Tactics and Resources

Build and command a diverse army, construct buildings, and place defensive towers. An economic layer drives the war: extract resources and generate energy to power operations. The tactical layer emphasizes heavy units and flying battleships for mass destruction, and players can even order orbital mass destruction weapons when the moment demands decisive force.

Environments

Engage across varied environments—Terrain, Air, Water, Volcanic, Underwater and Outer Space—each offering unique tactical possibilities and challenges for base building, siege warfare and aerial dominance.

Campaigns, Skirmishes and Replayability

Enjoy single‑player campaigns with interactive training missions, plus custom skirmishes against AI. Infinite combinations and high replayability ensure endless strategic variety as you perfect loadouts, formations and hero roles.

Story and Setting

In the near future, humanity faces a biomechanical civilization determined to consume all life. Frontier planets become battlegrounds where war cyborgs, heavy machinery and bio‑engineered beasts clash for every meter. Commanders can lead armies from above and also plunge into combat by controlling hero units in real time, aiming to hold the invasion, fortify defenses and turn the tide across vast ground and space campaigns. Worlds fall, armies evolve, and the future is decided in WARSHIFT 2.

About the Developer

WARSHIFT 2 is the sequel to the original game, created by a solo developer, Cyril Megem, who handles design, art and programming. This indie project reflects years of dedication and community collaboration, delivering a distinctive, tightly crafted experience.
