Starting out, you pick one of five creature types. That choice defines your initial deck: ten ally cards plus one equippable item. The pool of creatures is drawn randomly from several cost-equal options, guaranteeing a varied set of cards each run.

Regions and choices: Progress through inhospitable regions and, in every run, choose between two paths. You can avoid a battle area that would be unfitting for your creature type. Each region brings its own combat effects and a slate of enemies that exploit the local rules, demanding flexible strategy.

Battles: Focus on offense or endurance. You can defeat all enemies on the battlefield or, where possible, launch direct strikes to reduce the region's health points to zero. Tactical depth comes from selecting moves and positioning your five available slots on the field to maximize damage, protection, and synergy between allies.

Progression and customization: Along the journey you recruit new allies, strengthen them, learn potent abilities, and collect resources. You may also sacrifice creatures you like least to free up space or unlock stronger options. Each choice yields rewards that help you grow a larger army or concentrate power on a single mighty ally to forge a true super-soldier.
