Skill Order description

Skill Order

Overview

Command a team of five heroes in a strategic roguelike autobattler built around skill rotations and stance control. Combat unfolds automatically, yet your choices steer the outcome, shaping each battle from selection to execution.

Core Gameplay

In battle, every hero operates with a single rotation and will use all available skills on their turn. The core loop emphasizes planning and sequencing over micromanagement, while your direct input guides the flow of combat. During fights you can:

  • Switch stances to shift how a hero contributes to the fight
  • Change each hero’s attack and support targets to shape damage and utility
  • Pause and reassess your strategy to refine your lineup and rotations

Progression

After every battle, you experience a meaningful choice: select one of three offered skills to add to a hero’s rotation. Each new skill nudges the trajectory of your strategy, creating evolving synergies and options for future engagements. This progression keeps runs fresh as you sculpt and adapt your team.

Classes & Stances

Skill Order features 10 distinct classes, each built around four stances. Every class includes several heroes defined by unique combinations of two starting stances. Stances grant passive effects and activate additional effects on skills, anchoring core combat mechanics that span multiple classes. This structure encourages exploring different combinations and discovering potent synergies across diverse lineups.

Strategy and Depth

The game rewards thoughtful composition and timing. By managing stances, selecting targets, and refining your skill rotations between battles, you unlock deeper strategic layers. The interlocking system of rotations, stances, and class-wide mechanics creates a dynamic rhythm where small, well-timed decisions can pivot the course of a run.
