Field of Polarity game cover

Field of Polarity CD Key

Annihilation Field is a minimalist puzzle game where you manipulate three independent fields: electric, magnetic, and gravitational, to guide particles on a 2D grid. Trigger annihilations, explosions, and fusions to pair particles and empty the field. Deterministic, logic-driven challenges with well-defined rules.

Field of Polarity description

Annihilation Field

Step into a microscopic, two-dimensional grid where pure physics drives every move. Annihilation Field is a minimalist strategy puzzle that places you inside a world ruled by three fundamental forces. By steering their directions, you shape the paths of particles and coax them to collide at just the right moment, until the field returns to emptiness.

Turn-based field control: In each turn you may independently set the direction of all three fields—Electric, Magnetic, and Gravitational. Particles then move automatically according to their intrinsic properties, creating a layered logic puzzle where trajectories intersect and reactions unfold.

Particle rules:

  • Electric Field governs positive and negative charges.
  • Magnetic Field governs N and S magnetic monopoles.
  • Gravitational Field governs matter and antimatter.

Reactions and consequences:

  • Opposite charges annihilate and disappear.
  • Matter and antimatter collide, triggering an explosion that destroys nearby walls.
  • N and S monopoles fuse into a stable magnet.

Objective: complete all particle pairings and reactions, restoring the field to void. Each level challenges you to find the precise sequence of field directions that brings every interaction to a successful conclusion, leaving no particles behind.

Core design principles:

  • Independent yet interlocked fields: Each particle type follows its own rule set, and the three fields do not directly interfere with each other, yet their spatial interactions create layered constraints.
  • Deterministic, rule-driven outcomes: No randomness, no stat stacking. Every solution is derivable from the structure of the puzzle.
  • Structure-driven level design: Annihilation, explosion, and fusion generate diverse solution paths; extended mechanics like wells and black holes add extra spatial variables to navigate.
  • Minimalist presentation: The visuals strip away ornament, focusing the player on logic, space, and the elegance of the rules.
