The Broken Dawn

The Broken Dawn is an atmospheric first‑person survival horror about an abandoned city that fell to a secret experiment on human consciousness. You step into the shoes of Thomas Cale, a video blogger who travels into the isolated town of Greyfield with friends to shoot a new video. After a car crash, he wakes up alone. His companions are gone, and the city is overrun with madmen and mutants.

Plot

The government once conducted experiments in Greyfield to study how radio signals affect the psyche. The O.N.Y.X corporation turned this project into a weapon, using a special powder that triggers hallucinations, madness, and mutations. The city becomes completely isolated, and the truth remains hidden. Thomas must uncover Greyfield's secret, locate his friends, and escape a place where reality and madness intertwine.

Gameplay

You explore Greyfield’s emptied houses, a hospital, and other bleak locations. Along the way you uncover notes and items that reveal the history of what happened here and solve puzzles to push forward. Madmen and mutants wander the streets, and some threats can be avoided by hiding in closets or under beds, while others must be confronted with a limited arsenal of weapons. Each shot can draw new attention, so you must balance risk and caution. Resources are strictly limited, and the oppressive atmosphere demands constant concentration. The hero’s camera serves as both a light source and a tool for immersion, letting you witness and capture the strange, frightening phenomena that haunt Greyfield.
