Problem·Being is a side-scrolling pixel RPG set on the artificial planet Kofcheg. You play as Probe, a young man who wakes with no memories and a strong drive to discover the truth. Guided by curiosity and a wish to understand his past, he steps into a world that is colorful, beautiful, and filled with miraculous moments. The narrative unfolds through exploration, encounters, and choices that shape what you become and where your journey leads.

The game centers on a rich, axonometric world where voxels and pixels converge in an art style that feels both retro and contemporary. The world is divided into nine districts, each offering unique environments, mysteries, and stories. You will meet nine (and perhaps more) characters, each with their own experiences that influence Probe’s path. The story invites meeting and missing, but always through decisions you will own and moments you will carry with you.

Gameplay blends exploration with strategic dialogue. Probe may be physically frail, but he wins through wit and words. Enemies are faced not only with force but through card battles that reflect what Probe has learned on his journey. Build and combine a deck of cards to outthink and outmaneuver foes. As the journey deepens, new cards reveal themselves, representing lessons, memories, and discoveries gathered along the way.

Two integrated systems guide your progression: a magical notebook and a star map. The notebook records experiences and memories, serving as a personal archive you can consult to remember past choices and relationships. The star map charts your path across the districts, guiding where to go next and what stories await. Together, they form a collection framework that rewards curiosity and careful planning, ensuring you don’t forget what you’ve learned.
