AetherRift is a deep incremental strategy game about harvesting energy from an unstable dimensional rift. The rift bleeds energy, and your job is to siphon it while the rift fights back. Tap the Rift, place constructs, and push deeper into strange layers where energy takes on new forms.

Build Your Engine

Constructs are your toolkit: Siphons harvest, Amplifiers boost, Forges convert resources, and Anchors stabilize the growing machine. Proximity and synergy matter—pairing the right structures unlocks powerful combos and specialized roles. A large roster of constructs supports a wide variety of viable strategies.

Harvest Raw and Strange Resources

Extraction yields a evolving set of resources as you dive deeper: Ignis from molten layers, Cryo from frozen strata, Flux, Void, Plasma, and concentrated Aetherium. The Rift keeps offering, but it demands careful handling to avoid a deadly backlash.

Master Instability

Every harvest raises the Rift’s Instability. When it caps, the Rift collapses and you lose progress. Fight instability with Stabilizers and research, or embrace it—the best upgrades often turn danger into production and power.

Collapse and Grow Stronger

Trigger a controlled collapse to shatter and reform the Rift, leaving Rift Shards behind. Spend shards in the Rift Constellation, a prestige tree with four paths that reframe your play:

• Stability: tame the Rift, reduce instability, convert danger into production.
• Constructs: expand slots, boost builds, enable fusion and overclocking.
• Production: unlock raw power, global multipliers, passive generation, and mastery.
• Progression: speed and automation, faster challenges, auto-fabrication, resource retention.

Go Deeper

Research unlocks permanent bonuses and introduces new mechanics. Depth brings timed challenges that test your strategy—early layers are friendly, while deeper strata introduce decays, escalating demands, and new rules that reward careful planning.

Endgame and Beyond

The Void Forge opens late to craft artifacts that rewrite your approach. Pursue alternate victory conditions or trigger Rift Recursion: reset for a permanent multiplier and start anew, stronger each cycle.
