Waifu Match! is a free, moving match-3 roguelike where you hunt, meet, and collect waifus in a dynamic, replayable adventure. Crafted by a solo developer, the game blends several genres into a simple yet surprisingly deep loop. Each run uses RNG-driven tweaks, power ups, hurdles, and match requirements, along with a skill tree, selectable archetypes, and equippable relics, to create near endless variety and replayability.
Core loop and progression: every run contains eight dates. Clearing each date raises the challenge for the next, and clearing date 3 lets you count the waifu as MET and unlock her in your gallery with notes about the encounter version. Finish a full run to add the waifu to your collected roster—the ultimate goal. As you meet and collect Waifus, they are removed from the encounter pool, nudging you toward collecting every Waifu from a family. There are nearly 30 families to complete, making the collection a long-term quest.
Leaderboards and reward systems: the game tracks a high score table for the player with the most collected Waifus, adding friendly competition to the pursuit. Completing a run also has a chance to drop relics and artifacts that shape future runs.
