Island of the Missing is a sandbox, open-world horror experience where you step into the shoes of a detective tasked with locating missing locals and travelers. Set on a sprawling island, you have the freedom to explore every corner in search of the truth. The game avoids a fixed path, letting you shape your investigation while facing a range of obstacles that can even leave you feeling lost.

Exploration is supported by a toolkit you acquire as you go. You start with a flashlight and will gathering items and weapons, solving puzzles, picking locks, and decoding clues etched in readable notes. Loot you find will aid your search and survival as you uncover the island’s secrets.

Throughout your journey, you’ll encounter NPCs with their own backstories. Some will provide critical clues, others reveal new perspectives on what happened to the missing, and a few may even offer help or hinder your progress.
