People, not pawns. Colonists aren’t numbers: they fall in love, argue, develop habits, and die in unexpected moments. They write diaries, have favorites, and break in anatomically specific ways. Keep them fed, rested, and sane—or face the consequences. They leave diaries that shape your decisions.

The dual economy. Trade legally through dynamic settlement markets as prices shift with the news cycle. A celebrity spotted eating a burger? Meat prices spike across three star systems. Or jack into the DarkNet and push ghost cargo past patrols. Rise from courier to elite smuggler, but watch the System Heat. System Heat is a tangible risk; keep a low profile.

Explore a living galaxy. Hundreds of procedurally generated star systems, derelict freighters, ancient signals, and mysteries that reward the curious. Mine asteroid belts rich with fortune while pirates circle. Derelicts carry logs, cargo, and hazards.

Fight or flee. Space combat is fast, brutal, and personal. Shields fail, crew die, bunk beds stay empty. Pay tribute, outrun, or engage—yet every option costs something. Mistakes echo through your ship's memory and your crew's trust.

Tame the wild. Alien ecosystems teem with creatures from docile grazers to apex predators. Study them, hunt them, and race them at the tracks—betting on a six-legged contender named Thunderjaw. Races shape currency and fame, drawing fortune—and risk—into your orbit.
