In neon-lit Seoul, you are the sharp-eyed scout for Starlight Entertainment, directing a potential global megastars lineup. The year is 2026, a battlefield of glamour and intrigue where rival Eclipse Agency lurks in the wings. Your mission is to win the hearts of eight extraordinary idols and forge the ultimate girl group. With lavish gifts and exclusive sponsorships, outmaneuver rivals and claim each idol as your own to build a stadium‑sized hit machine.

You’ll craft your squad with a strategic deck of sponsorships. Each idol is a unique talent with a hype score based on the number of matching item cards needed to win her. A deck of 28 Item cards—ranging from mobile phones and designer handbags to studios, fragrances, snacks, and personal assistants—is shuffled, with one card removed unseen. Both players start with six cards and draw one per turn. Each turn you perform one of five actions (usable once per round) and aim to place more matching Item cards on your side for each Idol by round’s end. Scoring moves victory markers toward the side with the majority; ties stay neutral. Reach five Idols or 15+ total hype to win the game and unlock a new hit song; otherwise, items reset but victories persist, fueling the next round.

The heart of KPOP SCOUT is cunning and prediction. Bluff, outthink, and navigate a web of sponsorships to claim each Idol’s loyalty while denying your rival key items.

1. Reserve: Secretly choose 1 Item card from your hand and place it face-down under your Reserve marker. It’s revealed during scoring and adds to the matching Idol’s side.
2. Discard: Remove 2 Item cards from your hand face-down under the Discard marker. They don’t score this round.
3. Offer: Put 3 Item cards face-up in front of you. Your opponent picks 1 to add to their side, and you keep the remaining 2.
4. Split Choice: Split 4 Item cards into two sets of 2. Your opponent chooses one set for their side; you take the other.
5. Blind Trade: Place 3 Item cards face-down. Your opponent blindly selects 2 to their side; you receive the remaining 1. On their turn, this action can flip the odds in surprising ways.
