Wake up to a crisis that threatens everything you hold dear. William Von Pingleton III has unleashed a growing army of ruthless robots, draining the land’s magic and imprisoning the island’s spirits. As the last living guardian, you are called by a benevolent deity to stand against the invasion, wielding elemental powers entrusted to you to eradicate the threat and reclaim the ether for your home.

Spirit & Steel centers on three elemental arms—air, water, and fire. Channel the wind to slice through metal, summon waves to crash over machines, and unleash fists of flame to melt through armor. These powers are your toolkit for defense, enabling you to push, pound, and punch your way through the robotic onslaught. Even when your joints ache and your stature is small, your elemental embers glow brighter as you fight for survival and freedom.

Along your course you will seek out hidden Goubies, island spirits imprisoned by greed and metal. Rescuing these guardians is a core objective, restoring balance to the ether and strengthening your resolve against the invaders. Each Goubie you free restores a touch of light to the island and brings you closer to the showdown ahead.

Spirit & Steel is a compact, action-driven experience built as a student project at DigiPen Institute of Technology for educational purposes. The game emphasizes creative design and hands-on experimentation with mechanics while delivering a focused adventure where courage and resilience defend a home under threat.
