BannerRush description

BannerRush — Real-Time Card Tactics on an Isometric Battlefield

BannerRush merges the strategic depth of card play with the immediacy of real-time tactics. On an isometric grid, you deploy units, construct buildings, and unleash spells — all drawn from your hand of cards. Cards define what you can do, while real-time gameplay defines when and where you act. Every decision matters in the heat of the moment.

Easy to learn, hard to master. You’ll pick up the basics quickly, but mastering timing, placement, and resource discipline keeps you on the edge of your seat from first clash to final strike.

Core card combat spans six card archetypes that reshape the battlefield with every draw:

  • Melee Warriors — frontline power that charges into the fray.
  • Ranged Units — deadly from a safe distance.
  • Hybrid Fighters — adaptable options for flexible tactics.
  • Buildings — Barracks, Oracles, and Workshops that boost resources and field control.
  • Spells — high-impact effects that can rain fire or alter the course of battle.
  • Boosters — speed boosts and tactical edge enhancements for your troops.

Every card costs one of three resources, shaping every strategic choice:

  • Craft — fuels buildings and infrastructure.
  • Magic — powers spells and miraculous effects.
  • Combat — fund units and direct combat strength.

Buildings accelerate resource generation and unlock new strategic avenues. Decide whether to grow your economy early or press the attack before your opponent can stabilize.

Upgrades and combos mid-match are a core feature. Units gain XP during combat, enabling card upgrades as skirmishes unfold. Quick eliminations can trigger devastating combo chains. Buildings upgrade to stronger variants, reshaping the board as the game progresses. Timing these upgrades is itself a tactical move.

Three ways to play let you tailor the challenge to your style:

  • Singleplayer vs AI — AI with distinct personalities, adjustable difficulty, and adaptive behavior.
  • Local Multiplayer — split-screen battles with gamepad or keyboard for couch competition.
  • Online Multiplayer — matchmaking, lobbies, and competitive play against players worldwide.

A Human-like AI goes beyond traditional sliders. It features multiple personalities (aggressive, defensive, adaptive), emotional states that influence behavior, pattern recognition of your playstyle, and adaptive learning that evolves across matches to keep the challenge fresh.

The General’s Rise offers a story-driven singleplayer campaign in development. You take the role of a battle-hardened commander betrayed and exiled, fighting to reclaim your throne and restore justice to the kingdom.

What’s ahead — BannerRush is in Early Access and evolving. Expect a story campaign with handcrafted missions, new spell and booster cards, achievements, leaderboards, and more features driven by community feedback. The battlefield will continue to expand as the game grows.
