CastleOn Scriptum

CastleOn Scriptum is a strategic tower defense where you defend your Keep from waves of invaders using both static defenses and a mobile army. You can rely on traps, gatehouses, and towers manned by archers, crossbowmen, and catapults, or take a proactive approach by training melee units like footmen and knights to crush enemies up close.

Defenses and Combat

Set up a layered defense to slow and annihilate attackers. Build sturdy towers, place lethal traps, and keep patrolling ranged units ready to rain death on approaching foes. The game includes a rich lineup of traps such as killing pits, caltrops, boiling oil, rolling logs, and moats, giving you flexible tools to channel enemies into bottlenecks. Each faction brings its own flavor, so your defensive layout and upgrades adapt to your chosen path.

Economy and Upgrades

Manage a living realm by assigning peasants to harvest gold and lumber. Expand your economy with farms, a blacksmith, and lumber mills to sustain ongoing defense and troop production. Most buildings offer multiple upgrade paths, and choosing the right upgrades shapes your style—whether you favor stronger walls, faster unit production, or devastating siege capabilities.

Armies and Mercenaries

Command more than 20 types of ranged units in addition to a diverse corps of footmen and knights. You can also hire mercenaries to reinforce your ranks, adding new tactics and synergies as you face tougher waves and cunning invaders.

Factions and Playstyle

Play as Normans, Saxons, Franks, Slavs, Greeks, and more, each with distinct units, buildings, and strategic advantages. The Norman longbow tradition, Saxon armored knights, and Byzantine walls encourage different approaches to defense and conquest, ensuring a fresh challenge on every playthrough.

Campaigns, Expansion, and Endless Mode

Defeat bandits and brigands, seize their treasures, and expand your realm by conquering lands. The game features over 50 missions, all playable with any faction, across multiple difficulty levels. Missions typically last 10 to 20 minutes, offering concise battles or tactical skirmishes. For relentless challenge, Endless Mode pits you against increasingly tough waves until you fall, testing your endurance and decision-making under pressure.
