Timber Life invites you to build and customize a living homestead of timber, crops, and animals while you steward the eco diversity of a small town. Explore the surrounding woods, forage for seeds and herbs, and dodge predators as you wander beyond your property. Craft goods from collected resources, cook nourishing meals, and engage with the locals as you help the town grow in a wholesome, cozy farming life sim.

Character customization runs deep with virtually unlimited appearance options and backgrounds that shape your journey. Each background grants stat modifiers—for example, an artisan speeds up crafting while reducing combat gain—creating a unique playstyle that blends creativity with survival. The world responds to your choices as you shape your fate among trees, crops, and townsfolk.

The ecosystem is core to Timber Life. At launch you’ll find maple and pine trees plus invasive shrubs, and your goal is to restore biodiversity to invite animals back and drive the town’s prosperity. Grow a wide variety of crops and fruits, and admire summer wildflowers painting the landscape. The calendar spans eight seasons—Early and Late Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter—with dynamic weather that shifts daily, leaves turning individually on each tree, and rainfall altering soil moisture and plant health.

Foraging and wildlife are time-sensitive. Each forest tree yields its own forage item, and seeds drop in sync with their real-life counterparts, so you must stay active with the seasons. The map hosts 5 wild berry bushes and 11 wildflowers that appear as biodiversity is reintroduced. Animals are a living part of the loop: farm animals provide byproducts or meat, while wild animals offer opportunities for observation, mining, or hunting—always balanced by the risks of predators prowling at night.

Build your estate with a clear progression path. You can start by renting a room at the inn or save to buy property. The town offers 1 apartment, 1 house, and 6 open plots of varying sizes where you can erect homes and accessory buildings to expand your timber-based ranch, farm, or woodland property. Crafting is central: harvest resources through foraging, mining, or lumberjacking, then turn them into useful goods and saleable wares. Craft, trade, and cook with fresh ingredients from your farm or the town grocer to sustain your livelihood.

Life in town is lively yet intimate. Visit the tavern and inn for a bite and a bed, shop at the carpenter to furnish your spaces or mill logs into planks, pick up ingredients at the grocery, seed crops at the farm store, and gear up with tools at the hardware shop. A local doctor offers aid after encounters with bears, and a cemetery invites evening exploration with a flashlight in hand for a quiet sense of wonder.
