Vector Approach

Vector Approach is a minimalist real-time radar-based approach control game focused on safe, efficient traffic flow. You take the role of the approach controller, sequencing arriving and departing aircraft with precise vectoring, clearances, and handovers, all within a clean radar viewport designed to keep your attention on planning and timing.

How you play

Issue headings, altitudes, and speed instructions to guide aircraft along correct paths. Vector aircraft to maintain standard separation, manage intercept angles, and guide arrivals onto the ILS with proper geometry. The radar display is intentionally minimalist to enable quick commands and fast decision-making.

Traffic and difficulty

Traffic intensity is dynamically adjustable from a panel, allowing you to choose the flow level you face. There are no scripted scenarios—every session evolves in real time based on traffic demand and your actions. Anticipate conflicts, manage workload, and make precise decisions under pressure as the situation unfolds.

Scoring and progression

Earn points for each correctly sequenced arrival and properly handed-over departure. Mistakes such as incorrect clearances or missed handovers incur penalties. Loss of separation ends the run, emphasizing careful planning and strict adherence to procedures. Your progress and scores can be saved, allowing you to continue sessions and improve over time.
